Dream or Not to Dream?

When you have time to think, your dreams can  come to the surface. I’ve thought of it often and have always wanted to start my own ventures.  Owning my own business will be a lot of work, so sometimes I wonder if this is really what I want. Being an entrepreneur means long hours, dedication and great commitment. So I ask, “Am I up for the challenge?” I’ve asked that question over and over again.  In fact, I  keep going back and forth to that question.   So what are the benefits?  And do they outweigh the cons?  I think about dictating and having my own schedule. I get to pick up and go whenever I need to.  I am responsible and accountable for my own actions, rewards and ultimately my own outcomes. Yes, those are the benefits; so what are the drawbacks?  One, I still have to be disciplined enough to set my own schedule; and two, I am still responsible for my own actions and ultimately my own outcomes. I consider these points all the time.  These circumstances are both pros and cons. So what’s holding me back?  Ultimately, fear. I am quite capable. I’m a hard worker, dedicated and disciplined but I’ve also come to realize that fear is a beast that kills more dreams than inability ever will.   Entrepreneurship is a huge leap that requires courage, determination and great believe in yourself and your abilities. Entrepreneurship can be challenging and I realize that.  However, they say once you decide and you are open to it, there’s no turning back!!  #lettheadventurebegin!
