Starting Over???

So many believe in destiny…..so few believe that they can control their own lives themselves .   Life can be unrestrained and tumultuous.  It can be accidental and it can be intentional. In fact, I’ve made some crazy mistakes during my life’s journey and when I look back sometimes I cringe.  The bad decisions that I’ve made have dealt with relationships, love, money, my career….practically everything (so the list goes on and on and on)….But no matter what, no matter how bad its gotten, no matter the outcome, I’ve always recognized that I can simply start over.  I’ve stopped waiting until January 1st to establish my goals, summits and resolutions.  My twists and turns start whenever I need to try a different approach and my new journeys tend to occur whenever I feel insecure or need to start to strive to work towards a more positive outcome.  These moments occur particularly whenever I feel restless, stuck or when feel like I’m simply between a rock and a hard place.  Yes, my actions, they’re usually reactionary, especially if  I feel like anything is better than the situation I’m currently in.  Most of the time one comes to realize when to do practically anything to escape a disastrous reality!  Anything! But don’t get me wrong, I may have an reactionary stance, But I still know that I should still remember to think things through.  I give myself these options.  I consider to: 1) Stay stuck; 2) Change Course and Work through it; or 3) Start Over!  Staying Stuck is Acceptance.  Staying in it means you believe it’s worth the sacrifice; Changing Course allows you to leverage what you’ve already worked so hard for; and Starting Over, means just that…..chucking it all and  leaving it behind no matter how much time, effort, equity and swear has been invested.

Keep in mind that no choice is better than the other.  It all depends on what you really want.  So when you have that job, relationship or situation that just doesn’t work for you anymore, try a new approach. There may be different ways, routes or methods required in order to reach the same destination. Some situations that may work for others, may or may not work for you.  It’s always dependent on your talents, patience, comfort level and your beliefs.

My advise is to think on your approach for that situation; think on it, maul over it, even pray on it, but don’t stay stuck—take steps towards a fix! Either Stay Put and Work on It, Settle in and Accept or Move Forward and go on to the Next!!!
